US stock exchanges closed with growth, Europe – multidirectional

The main American stock indices on Monday showed a correction after the negative dynamics of last week. At closing, Dow Jones rose by 1.16%, S&P 500 - by 0.90%, Nasdaq - by 0.61%. The S&P 500 ended the previous week in the negative for the first time in a 4-week period, on Monday it recovered about one-third of losses.

The growth was supported by positive news from Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, whose financial report exceeded expectations.

In Europe, the mood was more restrained - indices closed mostly down. Only the French CAC 40 grew, adding 0.06%; the German DAX and British FTSE 100 fell by 0.01% and 0.13% respectively. Last week indices lost 1.7% - 3.1% on the results of the Bank of England meeting, economic statistics and financial reports of European companies.

This week, investors' attention will be focused on inflation statistics in the U.S., in addition, Walt Disney and Fox will present their financial results.
